Michael started her racing career almost 10 years ago in the Olympic distance mountain biking. She's represented Canada at 5 (2cx, 3xc) World Championships, various Mountain Bike World Cups and was selected for the team relay in 2010. The last couple of years she has made the move to more endurance based mountain bike events like the 7 day Transrockies and BC Bike Race as well as focusing on cyclocross. In Mical's words, "I love the atmosphere and people involved with the very goofy sport of cyclocross and love to continue to develop and push my limits. This year brings new adventures I’m really excited about the prospect of meeting more wonderful people in the industry and being the best possible female role model for cycling I can be. I have recently partnered up with Ride Like a Girl (http://www.ridelikeagirl.ca) as a mentor for girls in every discipline of the sport."
Mical is a Geologist by training, but currently working at Lululemon and coaching with B78 Coaching.

She used this year to rehab and regain the passion of the sport. Clearly results were great as Amanda made it to the Sochi Olympic games representing Canada again.
